High specialisation
The fan housing sides line is a highly specialised line for the ventilation industry, which can be sold separately or together with the fan housing backs calendering line. It allows automation of the sheet metal edge forming process. The machine is used to edge-form the cut sheet metal without the need for intermediate bending guide operations.
The right and left fan housing side edge forming line allows continuous processing, thus optimising production times. In fact, thanks to the double head, the operator can unload a machined side and load the next blank while another side is being processed.
Arc-welded base, machined to create the seat for the transversal linear guides along which the spindle slides.
A cross-shaped table driven by controlled motors holds the side, either right or left, in contact with the edge forming head. The controlled motors make it possible to follow the profile of the side itself during the edge forming process; upon completion, the carriage is brought back to the starting position, thus facilitating the operator in unloading the machined side and loading the next side.
Small, but important features for functionality.
The spindle is made up of spokes; one of these has a pin, which, when inserted into one of the holes on the fan housing side, is used to orientate the side itself.
Thanks to the machining carried out by the fan housing backs line and fan housing sides line, the back and sides can be mechanically coupled without any need for welding.
